Social Center ROG is bringing back Tutti Frutti movie nights every second Wednesday. With the struggle against ACTA building, with the proliferation of expensive and sterile mega cinemas, Tutti Frutti movie nights offers an evening when we reclaim our creativity, watch, analyze and discuss films in an autonomous space. All Tutti Frutti films will be kept on file and contribute the building of an open, common digital library in the Social Center.

Tonight, following the workshop Hack The World (7 pm), we will screen the film Even the Rain (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1422032/). In collaborating with the Hack the World, we will add a few creative dimensions to the night, and maybe to the films also! Let's reopen Tutti Frutti as an evening when we reclaim our creative rights and experience the film as something reflecting the discourses and contexts we are operating in.

This week, Tutti Frutti Cinema presents the Cradle Will Rock. A film about the New Deal theater recovery program in the 1930s. Directed by Tim Robbins, the film follows a series of characters involved in the New York theater scene during the great depression and as the communist witch-hunts are beginning. The film will be in English with Serbian (latinica) Subtitles.

V nedeljo, 26.2.2012, bo minilo natanko 20 let od izbrisa, od dejanja, s katerim je slovenska poosamosvojitvena oblast več kot 25 tisoč ljudem odvzela pravno podlago za življenje. Zgodba izbrisa pa ni samo zgodba o zločinu države in njenih uradnikov, temveč je tudi zgodba o boju in dostojanstvu. Zato se je potrebno spomniti, da letos mineva tudi 10 let od začetka boja izbrisanih za popravo posledic izbrisa. V izjemno težkih okoliščinah so izbrisani na izbris odgovorili tako, da so se samoorganizirali in začeli dolgotrajen in večplasten boj, ki je po letih tišine, zanikanja in administrativnega nasilja vseh vrst izbrisanim vendarle vrnil pravico do življenja. Z gotovostjo lahko namreč trdimo, da brez udejstvovanja mnogih v tem boju, ki je včasih privzel oblike konflikta z državnimi organi, drugič uličnih shodov ali druge vrste javnih intervencij, vseskozi pa je kombiniral pravne in politične prakse, danes izbrisa ne bi poznali v vseh njegovih razsežnostih, kakor tudi ne bi bil do te mere zasidran v slovensko in evropsko realnost. Obletnica izbrisa naj torej ne bo praznik navidezno ponovno vzpostavljene pravne države, temveč praznik dostojanstvenega boja izbrisanih za tisto, kar jim nikoli ne bi smelo biti vzeto.
