Dear Madams, dear Sirs,

We are writing to you to express our support for the users of Avtonomna Tovarna Rog in the recent case of violent eviction.

circusnext is a European contemporary circus network - a platform of 30 partners from 17 countries who gather around founding values - the identification of unique talents, support to emergence and creation. circusnext is supported by Creative Europe funding for continuous editions and it is a European cooperation label: the creators selected by a European jury stand out for their singularity and creativity.

in our edition 2018-2019, the Slovenian artistic collective Mismo Nismo was recognized and supported as one of the 6 laureatea of circusnext Platform. These artists, evicted from Avtonomna tovarna Rog among other artists and different groups that gravitate around this alternative social and cultural centre, have been deprived of the places to work and create and meet the needs of the local community. They have been left without their own equipment and artistic material which is essential for them to be able to continue working.
In a time when the pandemic has already push us all into a deep crisis and been an especially hard blow for the arts and culture sector, this eviction weakens even more these artists.

circusnext is also the “Europe of circus”: a platform of about thirty partners from 17 countries who gather around founding values – the identification of unique talents, support to emergence and creation, European cooperation.

...Born out of the fact that emerging artists and companies have real difficulties in their creative process, the circusnext project aims at identifying these new creators and encouraging the emergence of new writings in the field of circus arts. Considered to be one of the most important support programs for emerging authors and creators in this sector, circusnext asserts its goal of supporting and assisting artistic creation and the circulation of artists.
