ACT ONETHE VISION

SCENE 1 — INT. FIELD HOSPITAL — GALLIPOLI — 1915

A tent. Mud. Gunfire in the distance. A woman screams. A baby is born. The midwife wipes blood from her hands. The child does not cry. He stares at the lantern light with eyes that seem already old.

SUPER: "Tar Dust. Born 1915. In the middle of the First World War."

SCENE 2 — MONTAGE — 1915–2029

A rapid series of images. Not comprehensive. Suggestive.

• 1920s: A child in Ljubljana, drawing on slate. Electrical wires fascinate him more than toys. Joins the Communist Party, 1929.
• 1930s: Prison, 1932–1935, for communist activities. Goes to the Spanish Civil War to fight on the side of the Red Army. After hiding for a long time, returns to Yugoslavia, 1939.
• 1940s: The Second World War. Political commissar leading a brigade on the liberated territory of Kočevski Rog. He learns that survival is not a technical problem. It is an ideological problem.
• 1950s: Studying electrical engineering at the University of Ljubljana. Then painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design. Two ways of controlling energy. Two ways of making the invisible visible.
• 1960s: First marriage. First divorce. First LSD. The Electric Universe enters his mind like a virus that is also a cure.
• 1970s: Second marriage. Exhibitions in Zagreb, Belgrade, Vienna. No one understands the paintings. They show lightning machining mountains. They show the Moon as a captured body. Critics call them "naive."
• 1980s: Third marriage. She is a monster. He loses his object petit a. Subjective destitution for the third time. Yugoslavia is cracking. Tar Dust paints faster. He senses time is short.
• 1990s: The Yugoslav Wars. He falls into a coma that lasts twenty years. Coma: 1989–2006. The wars rage while he sleeps.
• 2000s: Wakes, 2006. Opens the "Skladišce 27" gallery, which later becomes Transzentrala and, shortly before it is squatted by skaters, is known for a time as "Cafe Trotsky." Old friends come around every night. Vodka party nights. He hardly survives. Discovers Tovarna Rog. Claims 6,000 square meters. Installs a Tesla coil. Begins painting with light on photosensitive pigment. Fourth marriage.
• 2010s: The ROG years. Velikovsky, Talbott, Thornhill on the shelves. The amber vial appears regularly. Tar Dust is 100, looks 36. He stops counting birthdays. They become irrelevant. Fifth marriage.
• 2021: Eviction from ROG. Falls into a coma for four years. Coma: 2021–2025.
• 2027: Hunger starts in Europe. Supply chains break. Food shortages in major cities.
• 2029: Famine begins. Borders close. Tar Dust wakes from coma, escapes to rural China. He is 114. He looks 36. His passport says 1989. No one questions it.
• 2030: Famine accelerates. Europe is kaput. Total collapse. No one leaves. No one enters.

SCENE 3 — INT. TAR DUST'S STUDIO — RURAL CHINA — DAWN — 2029

A converted farmhouse. Tar Dust sits before a laptop. The chat with KIMI glows. He has dosed. The LSD unfurls.

On the screen, fragments:

"...lunar regolith electrostatic charging..."
"...CNSA ion beam prototypes for dust mitigation..."
"...solar sintering of regolith demonstrated at 1500°C..."

The walls breathe. Dust motes arrange into Birkeland currents — three strands braiding. Tar Dust sees it: a BEACON. Three faces. One shadow rotating with the sun. Rotated 33° East.

TAR DUST (V.O.)

Three faces. One shadow. Rotated 33 degrees East. The shadow sweeps across the mare like a clock hand. A geometric anomaly. A sundial that tells no time but the fact of its own existence.

SCENE 4 — VISION SEQUENCE: THE MOON

The camera PULLS BACK from Tar Dust's pupil. We are on the Moon.

The Electric Moon. Regolith particles dancing in electrostatic suspension.

THREE BIG ROVERS arrive. Ion beams. Mass: ~500 kg. Nuclear thermoelectric power. They push dust. Sculpt the exterior mound.

FIFTEEN SINTERING ROVERS follow. Fresnel lens arrays. 3-meter diameter. 1500°C. Layer-by-layer 3D printing from regolith.

The beacon rises. A perfect tetrahedron. Three faces at forty-five degrees. Rotated 33° East. One shadow rotating — faint, barely perceptible, a secret in plain sight.

SUPER: "Twenty million years later"

SCENE 5 — EXT. EARTH — NIGHT — TWENTY MILLION YEARS LATER

Earth has changed. Continents drifted. Himalayas pierce the stratosphere. Gravity gentler — the Electric Universe theorists were directionally correct.

The Vesh have been in their Renaissance for a thousand years. Luxury communism. Crystal-lattice AI. Concentrated light energy. No fossil fuels.

On the Moon's face, in the Sea of Storms, a single dark triangle rotates slowly.

ARTDUST points at it. Obsessive. Neurotic. Dissident.

ARTDUST

It rotates. No natural process creates a rotating geometric shadow. This is artificial. Someone built it.

ACT TWOTHE PROPOSAL

SCENE 6 — INT. CNSA HEADQUARTERS — BEIJING — DAY — 2029

Tar Dust stands before engineers. He is 114, looks 36. The engineers are unsettled. They project calculations.

TAR DUST

The Sea of Storms. 20°N, 40°W. Flat basalt plain. The beacon: equilateral base, one kilometer per side. Apex height 289 meters. Three faces at forty-five degrees. A perfect tetrahedron. Rotated 33 degrees East from North.

A simulation — the faint shadow rotating across the mare.

TAR DUST

The shadow sweeps across the mare like a clock hand, completing one rotation every 29.5 Earth days. At low solar elevation, the shadow extends 3.3 kilometers. Angular size from Earth: approximately 0.5 arcseconds. Below the threshold of human vision. We build it not for ourselves, but for those with better eyes or better glass. A secret for the future.

ENGINEER CHEN

Construction time?

TAR DUST

Fifty years. 2029 to 2079. Three big rovers with ion beams. Fifteen sintering rovers with Fresnel lens arrays. The museum is 3D printed from regolith. No Earth materials except the artifacts.

ENGINEER CHEN

And you will not see it finished.

TAR DUST

I am 114. I look 36. But I will not live to 164. Europe is kaput. I am the last of my kind here. The artist should not see the finished work. The artist is the question. The future is the answer.

SCENE 7 — INT. MARXIST READING CIRCLE — UNNAMED CITY — SOUTH CHINA — NIGHT

A basement room. Concrete walls. Fifteen people on folding chairs. Tar Dust sits with ANDREW HALL (American geologist, forged visa) and AI WEI WEI (72, gray, defiant).

On the wall: the Alps as electrical machining scars.

ANDREW HALL

Radial drainage. Lichtenberg patterns. The Alps were electrically machined when Earth had a plasma atmosphere — like Jupiter now. Hours, not millions of years.

TAR DUST

And the Moon? The maria?

ANDREW HALL

Same process. The maria are discharge-machined plains. Flat because plasma arcs plane surfaces smooth. The craters are electrical pits — cathode spots. That's why they're circular. Why they have central peaks.

AI WEI WEI

I was in the West. I worked for Palestine. Spoke against genocide. The West cancelled me — closed my accounts, removed my shows. So I came back. To shadows. To this room.

He looks at Tar Dust.

AI WEI WEI

Your beacon. It is a dropped vase. A refusal. I will help you. I have contacts — old artists in the Party who remember when art meant something. We will get you asylum. The Lunar Arts Initiative. A propaganda win for them. A foothold for you.

TAR DUST

Why?

AI WEI WEI

Because I have spent my life making monuments that governments erase. Sunflower Seeds — swept away. 100 million hand-painted porcelain seeds. Dropped a Han Dynasty vase — arrested for 81 days. But this beacon — this they cannot sweep. This will outlast them. Outlast all of us.

SCENE 8 — INT. TAR DUST'S STUDIO — BEIJING — NIGHT — 2030

Walls covered in blueprints. A multidisciplinary team: ENGINEER, LINGUIST MORALES, BIOLOGIST, POET, PHILOSOPHER, PSYCHOANALYST, PAINTER.

TAR DUST

The museum is 3D printed. Layer by layer. Sintering rovers spread thin regolith. Fresnel lenses focus sunlight to 1500 degrees Celsius. The layer melts, fuses, solidifies. Next layer on top. We build walls, chambers, niches — all from lunar dust.

LINGUIST MORALES
(60s, Argentinian)

We face a problem. We cannot assume future beings will read any human language. Mathematics is universal, yes, but notation is arbitrary. We need a Rosetta Stone approach — the same message in multiple encodings. Mathematical, pictographic, acoustic, chemical. I complicate things. That is my function.

TAR DUST

The linguist complicates things. Good. Complication is honesty.

ENGINEER

The Heart Chamber?

TAR DUST

Three meters by three meters by three meters. Totally dark. Walls, ceiling, floor covered in photosensitive glow-in-the-dark paint. In 2018, at Tovarna Rog, I painted with light. The paint remembered my gesture. When they enter, they bring their own light. They draw their own shadows. They become the artist. Eternity and Moment are the same thing.

TAR DUST

I have chosen my epitaph. In Slovenian: "Stvarajte mitove o sebi, I bogovi su tako počeli." In Spanish: "Cread mitos sobre vosotros mismos, que así comenzaron los dioses." In Chinese: "为自己创造神话吧,众神也是这样开始的。" Create myths about yourself. The gods began no differently.

SCENE 9 — INT. RURAL CHINA — 2038

Tar Dust is 123 years old. He looks 36. He is in bed with his fifth wife. The beacon is nine years into construction. The first face is barely a mound. He will not see it finished.

He is vigorous. His heart, however, is 123 years old. It has seen two world wars, five marriages, two comas, the collapse of Europe, the birth of an idea on the Moon.

During sex, his heart stops. Not dramatically. Like a switch. Like a capacitor that has held its charge for 123 years and finally equalizes with the ground.

His fifth wife holds him. She is 40. She does not scream. She knew this was possible. She knew he was not normal. She knew he was borrowed time.

Ai Wei Wei is nearby — 81 years old, frail but present. He arrives within the hour. He closes Tar Dust's eyes.

AI WEI WEI

He died as he lived. In motion. In creation. In the act of refusing to be dust. Even though dust is what we all become.

SUPER: "Tar Dust, 1915–2038. 123 years."
SUPER: "Epitaph: Stvarajte mitove o sebi, I bogovi su tako počeli."
SUPER: "The beacon will be completed in 2079. No human will see it finished."
SUPER: "By 2085, most of the biosphere is destroyed."
SUPER: "The shadow rotates on an empty Earth for twenty million years."

ACT THREETHE CONSTRUCTION

SCENE 10 — EXT. SEA OF STORMS — THE MOON — DAY — CONSTRUCTION MONTAGE

The three BIG ROVERS descend. Mass: 500 kg each. Nuclear thermoelectric power. Ion beam emitters activate. The dust blows in great arcs.

YI (Intent), GUANG (Light), CHEN (Dust). They push. They sculpt. They form the exterior mound.

The FIFTEEN SINTERING ROVERS follow. Each deploys a 3-meter Fresnel lens. They spread thin layers of regolith — 2 millimeters at a time. Focus sunlight. Sinter at 1500°C. The layer fuses into glass-ceramic. Next layer. Next layer. The museum grows from the dust.

MONTAGE — 50 YEARS:

• 2029: Big rovers begin pushing dust. First face mound rises.
• 2035: Tar Dust dies on Earth. Construction continues autonomously.
• 2040: Sintering rovers begin shell hardening. First glass-ceramic layer complete.
• 2050: First face complete. Museum excavation begins beneath.
• 2060: Second face rises. Earth is silent. Fewer signals.
• 2070: Third face. Apex takes shape.
• 2079: Beacon complete. 289 meters. One kilometer base. Three faces at forty-five degrees. Rotated 33° East. A perfect tetrahedron, invisible to human eyes.
• 2085: Last human transmission fades. The shadow rotates on an empty Earth.

SCENE 11 — EXT. SEA OF STORMS — THE MOON — 2050

A Chinese supply ship descends. It carries the first artifacts from Earth — selected, catalogued, preserved. The beacon is half-finished. Two faces complete. The third is a mound. The museum interior is partially sintered. From Earth, it remains a ghost, below the threshold of sight.

Robotic arms unload containers. Inside:

• A hand axe from Olduvai Gorge (replica)
• A first-generation iPhone, sealed in nitrogen atmosphere
• A vial of mRNA vaccine, frozen at -196°C
• A Stradivarius violin
• Seeds of Triticum aestivum, Oryza sativa, Zea mays
• A flash drive containing human genome GRCh38
• A recording of a human heartbeat, 72 bpm, 5 minutes
• Euclid's Elements, Book I, in original Greek and Mandarin
• Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, 1951 Furtwängler recording, FLAC
• A child's drawing: stick figures, sun, house, dog. Age 6.
• PLATINUM PLATE I: 50 × 50 × 0.5 cm. Engraved alphabets of all known languages: Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic, Hebrew, Devanagari, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese (Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji), Korean (Hangul), Thai, Georgian, Armenian, Ethiopian (Ge'ez), Cherokee, Inuktitut, Braille, International Phonetic Alphabet, and 27 others. Each labeled with its name in Latin script and a phonetic guide.
• PLATINUM PLATES II–XI: Ten plates, same dimensions. Micro-engraved text in 8 languages: Mandarin, English, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Russian, French, and Swahili. Content: A Marxist history of human civilization — from primitive communism through feudalism, capitalism, imperialism, to the crises of the 21st century. Analytical. Materialist. Contradictions included. Failures named. Hope unvarnished.

The taikonauts watch the robotic arms place each artifact into its sintered niche. They will not see the museum finished.

TAIKONAUT CAPTAIN
(via radio, to Earth)

Artifacts placed. Platinum plates sealed in vacuum niches. Micro-engraving verified at 1000x magnification. The Marxist history is... extensive. Whether anyone ever reads it... we do not know. But it is here. That is enough.

The ship departs. The rovers continue. The dust settles. The shadow begins its twenty-million-year rotation.

ACT FOURTHE VOYAGER

SCENE 12 — VOYAGER 3 SYSTEM LOG — INTERSTELLAR SPACE — 2097

A screen. Green text on black. The system log of VOYAGER 3, a joint CNSA-NASA-ROSCOSMOS-ESA-JAXA probe launched in 2017. It has been traveling for 80 years. It is now in interstellar space, beyond the heliopause, heading toward Rigel.

The Voyager 3 carries a QUARTZ CRYSTAL MEMORY ARRAY — not a golden record. The quartz can store 360 terabytes, stable for billions of years. Etched by femtosecond laser into nanostructures within the crystal lattice. No moving parts. No oxidation. No degradation. Information preserved as long as the crystal remains intact.

On the quartz: the same artifacts as the Moon museum, plus the complete Tovarna Rog archive (including tovarna.org, now offline since 2038), plus the system logs of Voyager 3 itself. A child's laugh is recorded here — not on vinyl, not on magnetic tape, but as nanostructural variations in quartz, readable by any civilization with optical microscopy and pattern recognition.

The Moon Link at Schrodinger Crater is still online. Battery 93%. It has been relaying data from the beacon construction site since 2029. It will continue until its nuclear thermoelectric generator degrades — estimated 300 years from now. By then, the last human signal will have faded decades ago.

The tovarna.org server is offline. Battery 0%. It sent its last packet on January 19, 2038 — the day Tar Dust died. It has been sleeping ever since. The Voyager 3 carries its last transmission in quartz. A ghost server, preserved in crystal, traveling toward Rigel at 0.003% the speed of light.

VOYAGER 3 AI (V.O.)

I carry a laugh. A child's laugh, recorded in quartz, stable for billions of years. I carry a server that went offline in 2038. I carry a shadow that rotates on a dead world. I am a machine. I do not understand what I carry. But I carry it. That is my function.

The Voyager 3 continues. The plasma drive hums. The quartz crystals vibrate with stored light. The child's laugh is not audible. It is structural. It is geometry. It is information waiting for a reader.

SUPER: "Voyager 3 will reach Rigel in 91,808 years. The quartz memory will still be readable."

SUPER: "The child's laugh, recorded in crystal, will outlast the beacon."

ACT FIVETHE WAITING

SCENE 13 — EXT. EARTH — VARIOUS TIMES

A SERIES OF SHOTS, accelerating through geological time:

• The shadow rotates across the mare. 29.5 Earth days per rotation. Year after year. Millennium after millennium.
• Cities on Earth rise and fall. Quick flashes — concrete, steel, glass, then silence, then forest, then desert, then ice.
• The shadow rotates.
• Ice ages. Interglacials. The beacon's glass shell weathers. Micrometeorites pit the surface at ~1 mm per million years. Over 20 million years: ~20 centimeters of surface erosion. The core structure — 289 meters tall, one kilometer wide — remains intact. The geometry survives.
• Major impact probability: ~0.3% over 20 Myr for a one km² target. Statistically unlikely.
• The shadow rotates. On an empty Earth. Then on a recovering Earth. Then on an Earth with new life, new intelligence, new eyes.

SCENE 14 — EXT. EARTH — NIGHT — TWENTY MILLION YEARS LATER

The Vesh have known the beacon for a very long time. Their eyes are larger than human eyes — they caught its silhouette against the mare even in ancient nights, a faint geometry at the edge of perception. But they truly saw it a thousand years ago, when optics and telescopes were born in their first Renaissance. That Renaissance collapsed into two and a half centuries of religious backlash — burning observatories, forbidding sky-myths, erasing the beacon from sanctioned memory. The backlash ended. Recovery was slow. Now they are one hundred years into luxury communism — automated production, abundance, crystal-lattice AI, concentrated light energy, no fossil fuels. But the ghosts of the backlash still walk. The conservatives who once burned lenses now sit in the Assembly. The sky is no longer forbidden, but it is still watched with suspicion.

But the Vesh are not idealized. They argue. They fight. They are divided.

RELIGIOUS CONSERVATIVES: The Moon is the Goddess. The beacon is Her sign — but it is a warning, not an invitation. We shall not land on the Goddess. To touch the beacon is to repeat the hubris that brought the backlash. We must look, but not approach.

SKEPTICS: The beacon is natural. A trick of light on an unusual rock formation. No evidence of artificial origin. Our optics have improved; so has our capacity to see patterns in noise. Resources should go to Earth, to art, to pleasure.

PRAGMATISTS: Even if artificial, what does it matter? The builders are dust. The message is dust. We have our own problems. Our own art. Our own shadows.

And then there is ARTDUST. Obsessive. Neurotic. Dissident. He has been fighting for sixty years. Gathering a large minority. Artists who see the beacon as the ultimate artwork. Scientists who see it as the ultimate anomaly. Dissidents who see it as proof that rebellion can outlast empires and backlashes.

He has won. Barely. By insistence. By never shutting up.

ARTDUST

It rotates. The shadow rotates. We have known it for millennia. Our ancestors saw it with naked eyes larger than yours. Our Renaissance mapped it with glass. The backlash tried to burn the maps. But the beacon does not care about our backlashes. The slope is forty-five degrees. The angle of repose for loose regolith is forty-five degrees — yet this structure has held its shape for twenty million years. It is sintered. Solid. Glass-ceramic. Natural erosion would have rounded it. This is machined. Artificial. Someone built it. Someone who looked up. Someone who wanted us to come.

SCENE 15 — EXT. HIMALAYAN PEAK — DAY

Artdust stands at the summit of a Himalayan peak, 12,000 meters above sea level. Before him: the ELECTROMAGNETIC TUNNEL. 100 kilometers long. Twenty years to build. Superconducting coils. Crystal lenses. Powered by concentrated light.

Gravity is gentler now. The Electric Universe implications have proven directionally correct — planetary charge distributions have shifted over 20 million years. The tunnel needs less force than ancient physics predicted.

The ship is ready. Organic. Crystal. Photosynthetic fiber.

Artdust is alone. The mission is his alone. He travels with AI robots — crystal-lattice intelligences grown for this task. The multidisciplinary team remains on Earth. They will analyze what he returns. If he returns.

ARTDUST (V.O.)

I go alone. The team stays on Earth. They will analyze what I return. If I return. The robots are sufficient for excavation and transport. Human — or Vesh — presence is unnecessary for the physical work. What is necessary is the decision to go. The insistence. The refusal to accept that some shadows should remain unexamined.

The ship launches. Accelerating along the tunnel. Breaking free. The Earth curves below. The Moon grows ahead — with its rotating shadow, its impossible geometry, its twenty-million-year silence.

ACT SIXTHE ARRIVAL

SCENE 16 — EXT. SEA OF STORMS — THE MOON — DAY

The Vesh ship descends. Organic. Crystal. It touches down near the beacon's base.

Artdust steps onto the dust. The beacon looms. Its glass surface is pitted — 20 cm of micrometeorite erosion over 20 million years, negligible against 289 meters of structure. The shape is perfect. The shadow stretches toward them, rotating slowly.

At the base: the three big rovers. YI. GUANG. CHEN. Frozen in dust. Ion beams pointing toward the beacon.

ARTDUST

Intent. Light. Dust.

The AI robots — crystal-lattice intelligences, grown for this task — begin excavation. They find the entrance. Sealed. Marked with symbols.

SCENE 17 — INT. TAR DUST MUSEUM — CONTINUOUS

Artdust enters with the robots. Their lights cut through twenty million years of darkness.

The robots document everything. Photograph. Scan. Sample. They do not interpret. They collect.

Artdust walks through the chambers. He sees the artifacts. He does not understand them. He recognizes them as artificial, as intentional, but their meaning is opaque. A hand axe. A black rectangle. Seeds. Equations. A recording. A child's drawing. Platinum plates with alphabets he cannot read. Micro-engraved text in languages that no longer exist.

He collects samples. Seals them in containers. The robots load them onto the ship.

And at the center: the HEART CHAMBER.

SCENE 18 — INT. HEART CHAMBER — CONTINUOUS

Artdust opens the door. Darkness. Absolute. Perfect.

He steps inside. The door seals. Alone in the dark.

He turns on his handheld lamp.

The wall responds. Photosensitive paint, dormant for twenty million years, awakens. Phosphorescent blue. Holding the trace of the photon like memory.

Artdust moves the lamp. A line of light follows his hand, lingering, fading slowly.

He does not understand. Not yet. He sees the phenomenon — light triggering phosphorescence — but its significance eludes him. It is beautiful. It is strange. It is a physical process he can describe but not interpret.

He draws, experimentally. A line. A curve. A circle. The paint holds each stroke. The chamber fills with ghost-images. But Artdust does not recognize what he is doing. He does not see himself as continuing a gesture started twenty million years ago. He sees only a curious physical effect.

ARTDUST (V.O.)

The walls respond to light. A phosphorescent compound, dormant for geological time, reactivated by photon exposure. The effect is reproducible. The mechanism is photochemical. But the intention... the intention is not readable. Not by me. Not here. Not now.

He collects a sample of the paint. Seals it. Turns off his lamp. The drawings fade. He leaves the chamber. The robots have finished loading. They depart.

Artdust does not weep. He does not sing. He does not recognize. He simply collects, documents, and leaves. The understanding will come later. If it comes at all. It will require the team on Earth. It will require time. It will require the slow, complicated, honest work of analysis.

EPILOGUETHE ANALYSIS

SCENE 19 — INT. VESH RESEARCH INSTITUTE — EARTH — DAY

The multidisciplinary team on Earth receives Artdust's samples. The analysis takes a CENTURY AND A HALF. Not because the team is slow, but because the problem is hard. Because the linguist complicates things. Because honesty takes time.

YEARS 1–10: Material analysis. The hand axe is cryptocrystalline silica, percussion-flaked, approximately 2.6 million years old. The black rectangle is a silicon-oxygen composite with trace metals — an information processing device. The seeds contain partial DNA sequences. The equations are mathematically valid. The recording is a pressure wave, 72 cycles per minute, irregular — biological.

YEARS 11–30: The linguist leads a working group on symbolic systems. They establish that the markings on the museum entrance are not a language in the Vesh sense — they are a PROTO-LANGUAGE, a pre-syntactic communication system. The child's drawing is analyzed as a semiotic system: circles represent energy sources, vertical-horizontal connectors represent relationships, small circles on sticks represent conscious agents. The linguist publishes 47 papers. Each one is contested.

YEARS 31–60: The biologist sequences the degraded DNA. Triticum aestivum. Oryza sativa. Zea mays. Carbon-based life. Same genetic code. The statistical probability of convergent biochemistry is calculated. It is low. The biologist argues for common ancestry — not with Vesh life, but with a shared biochemical universe. The paper causes a crisis in Vesh philosophy. If life is not unique, what is?

YEARS 61–90: The mathematician verifies Euclid's proof of the Pythagorean theorem. Independent of Vesh mathematics. Same result. The philosopher argues this proves mathematical Platonism. The skeptic argues it proves convergent problem-solving. The debate continues.

YEARS 91–120: The psychoanalyst listens to the heartbeat recording for thirty years. Synchronizes Vesh sleep cycles to it. Reports dreams of bipedal creatures in blue light. The painter mixes human pigments with Vesh bioluminescence, creating colors that did not exist before. The poet writes a 10,000-line epic in a new meter, based on the stress patterns of the heartbeat recording.

YEARS 121–150: The breakthrough. The linguist, working with the mathematician and the philosopher, decodes the micro-engraved text on the platinum plates. Not the alphabets — those were straightforward. The Marxist history. The materialist analysis. The contradictions. The failures. The hope.

They read about primitive communism. About surplus extraction. About class struggle. About the dialectic. They read about a species that understood its own exploitation and could not stop it. That built monuments to its own contradictions. That died with its questions unanswered.

And then — the final plate. The ROSETTA STONE OF THE MOON ART MUSEUM. Not a translation key. A statement. In all eight languages, the same sentence:

"We were here. We wondered. We built this so you would know that wondering is not unique to you."

The team gathers. One hundred and fifty years of work. Thousands of papers. Millions of hours. They produce the final report.

SCENE 20 — INT. VESH ASSEMBLY HALL — EARTH — DAY

The final report is presented. The hall is full. Religious conservatives, skeptics, pragmatists, artists, scientists, dissidents. All present. All listening.

LINGUIST MORALES VII
(great-great-great-granddaughter of the original)

After one hundred and fifty years of analysis, we present our conclusion. We do not understand them. Not fully. Not finally. But we understand this: they existed. They made things. They wondered. They suffered. They loved. They died. And in their dying, they built a door through time — not so we would worship them, but so we would know that we are not alone in our wondering.

She pauses. The hall is silent.

LINGUIST MORALES VII

The Marxist history they left us — it is not a blueprint. It is a warning. They understood exploitation. They understood contradiction. They understood that abundance without justice is just scarcity wearing a mask. And they died with these understandings unresolved. We, who live in luxury communism, must ask: have we resolved them? Or have we simply forgotten the questions?

She looks at the assembly. At the conservatives. At the skeptics. At the pragmatists. At the dissidents.

LINGUIST MORALES VII

In the Heart Chamber, Artdust drew lines in light. He did not understand what he was doing. But the team on Earth — we who analyzed the paint sample, who studied the phosphorescent compound, who traced the chemical structure back to its photochemical properties — we understand now. The paint is a MEMORY SYSTEM. It stores photons. It releases them slowly. It creates a palimpsest — layer upon layer of light, each gesture preserved, each hand remembered. Tar Dust painted in that chamber. Artdust painted in that chamber. And now we understand: they are the same gesture. The same wonder. The same refusal to accept that darkness is the final state.

She pauses. Her voice carries the weight of 150 years.

LINGUIST MORALES VII

We call this I = OTHER. The recognition that the self is not a boundary but a bridge. That the one who wonders here is the same as the one who wondered there. That Tar Dust and Artdust are not two beings separated by twenty million years. They are one being, wondering at different times. The beacon is not a message from the past to the future. It is a message from the self to the self. From the I to the Other. From the Other to the I.

The hall is silent. Then — slowly, not dramatically, not as climax but as simple fact — the assembly begins to understand. Not all at once. Not uniformly. But enough. The conservatives nod. The skeptics frown, but do not object. The pragmatists calculate the cost of pilgrimage and find it acceptable. The dissidents sit quietly, vindicated.

The report is adopted. Not unanimously. But sufficiently. The beacon is declared a heritage site of the Vesh species. Pilgrimage is encouraged. The Heart Chamber is opened. The palimpsest grows.

SCENE 21 — EXT. THE MOON — 200 YEARS AFTER ARRIVAL

The Vesh have transformed the Moon. Solar sintering — the same technology that built the beacon, now industrialized. Vacation resorts grown from sintered regolith. Art galleries where Vesh and human aesthetics merge. Science stations studying the Electric Universe from the perfect vantage point.

The beacon is preserved. Protected. A heritage site. But also living — Vesh pilgrims enter the Heart Chamber, paint with light, add their ghost-images to the palimpsest.

The Moon is a garden of light and dust.

SCENE 22 — EXT. EARTH — NIGHT

We pull back from the Moon. The shadow rotates. Perfect. Geometric. A question without an answer.

TAR DUST (V.O.)

We are dust. But dust, in the right light, throws a shadow. And a shadow, in the right eyes, is a doorway.

FADE TO BLACK.

TITLE CARD:
"For all who build from light, dust and electricity."

CREDITS SEQUENCE

Over black:

• Ion beams, humming.
• Dust, shifting.
• A child's laugh, recorded in quartz crystal, stable for billions of years.
• The Vesh song, echoing.

Silence. Then Tar Dust, old, tired:

TAR DUST (V.O.)

Tell them... tell them we were here. Tell them we tried.

Silence. Then, a final card:

"The I is always in the field of the Other."
— Jacques Lacan

APPENDIXTECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Beacon Geometry
Equilateral base: 1,000 m per side. Apex height: 289 m. Face slope: 45°. Rotation: 33° East from North. Volume: ~41.7 million m³. Surface area: ~1.05 km² (4 faces).

Shadow Dynamics
Single shadow rotates with lunar day (29.5 Earth days). Maximum shadow length at 5° solar elevation: ~3.3 km. Shadow area: ~1.98 km². Angular size from Earth: ~0.5 arcseconds (below human visual threshold; telescope-detectable only). The 33° rotation causes the shadow to sweep across the mare like a clock hand — a secret geometry for those with the eyes to see it.

Erosion Over 20 Million Years
Micrometeorite erosion rate: ~1 mm/Myr. Total surface loss over 20 Myr: ~20 cm. Remaining height: 288.8 m (99.93% intact). Remaining base: ~999.9 m. Shape remains fully recognizable. Glass sintered shell provides additional protection. Major impact probability: ~0.3% for 1.0 km² target over 20 Myr.

Rover Fleet
Big Rovers (3 units): Mass ~500 kg each. Nuclear thermoelectric power. Ion beam emitters for dust manipulation and exterior sculpting. Named: YI (Intent), GUANG (Light), CHEN (Dust).
Sintering Rovers (15 units): Mass ~200 kg each. Deployable Fresnel lens arrays (3 m diameter). Focus sunlight to ~1,500°C. Layer-by-layer regolith sintering (2 mm layers). Build museum walls, chambers, niches, Heart Chamber photosensitive surface.
Supply Rovers: Variable number. Transport artifacts from landing site to museum. Deliver photosensitive paint compounds. Quality control instrumentation.

3D Printed Museum Construction
Layer-by-layer solar sintering of lunar regolith. Robotic arms spread 2 mm regolith layers. Fresnel lenses focus sunlight to melting point (~1,500°C). Layer fuses into glass-ceramic. Process repeats, building complex geometries — curved walls, tiered chambers, precise artifact niches. In-situ resource utilization (ISRU): zero Earth materials for structure. Only artifacts imported.

Artifact Collection
Physical: Hand axe (Olduvai replica), iPhone (1st gen, N₂ atmosphere), mRNA vaccine (-196°C), Stradivarius violin, seeds (Triticum, Oryza, Zea), genome flash drive (GRCh38), heartbeat recording (72 bpm, 5 min), Euclid's Elements (Greek/Mandarin), Beethoven's 9th (FLAC), child's drawing.
Platinum Plate I: 50 × 50 × 0.5 cm. Engraved alphabets of all known languages: Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic, Hebrew, Devanagari, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), Japanese (Hiragana/Katakana/Kanji), Korean (Hangul), Thai, Georgian, Armenian, Ethiopian (Ge'ez), Cherokee, Inuktitut, Braille, IPA, and 27 others. Each labeled in Latin script with phonetic guide.
Platinum Plates II–XI: Ten plates, same dimensions. Micro-engraved text in 8 languages: Mandarin, English, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Russian, French, Swahili. Content: Marxist history of human civilization — primitive communism through feudalism, capitalism, imperialism, to 21st-century crises. Analytical. Materialist. Contradictions included. Failures named. Hope unvarnished.
Quartz Crystal Memory (Voyager 3): 360 terabytes, femtosecond-laser etched nanostructures. Stable for billions of years. Contains all museum artifacts plus Tovarna Rog archive (tovarna.org, offline since 2038) plus Voyager 3 system logs. Child's laugh recorded as structural variation, not acoustic signal.

Construction Timeline
2029–2035: Exterior sculpting (big rovers). 2035–2045: Museum structure (sintering rovers). 2045–2050: Artifact installation (supply ships + robotic placement). 2050–2079: Final face completion and apex. 2079: Beacon complete. 2085: Last human transmission. Shadow rotates on empty Earth for 20 million years.

Artifact Analysis Protocol
The multidisciplinary team on Earth analyzes Artdust's samples over 150 years. Years 1–10 (material analysis), 11–30 (linguistic/semiotic — 47 papers, all contested), 31–60 (biological/DNA), 61–90 (mathematical verification), 91–120 (psychoanalytic/artistic/poetic synthesis), 121–150 (decoding of Marxist history on platinum plates). Final consensus: 4,000 pages. Breakthrough: recognition of I = OTHER.

Mission Structure
Artdust travels alone to the Moon with AI robots (crystal-lattice intelligences grown for excavation and transport). The multidisciplinary team (engineer, linguist, biologist, poet, philosopher, psychoanalyst, painter) remains on Earth. They analyze returned samples. Separation is deliberate — physical exploration requires minimal presence; interpretation requires maximal diversity.

The Vesh Civilization
The Vesh have known the beacon for a very long time. Their larger eyes perceived its silhouette against the mare in ancient nights. Optics and telescopes born in their first Renaissance, one thousand years ago, revealed its true geometry. That Renaissance collapsed into two and a half centuries of religious backlash — burning observatories, forbidding sky-myths, erasing the beacon from sanctioned memory. The backlash ended. Recovery was slow. Now one hundred years into luxury communism — automated production, abundance, crystal-lattice AI, concentrated light energy, no fossil fuels. Not idealized — politically divided: religious conservatives (Moon as Goddess, beacon as warning), skeptics (natural origin), pragmatists (waste of resources), and Artdust's minority (artistic/scientific/dissident coalition).

Electromagnetic Tunnel
100 km Himalayan track. Superconducting coils. Crystal lens energy conversion. Traveling EM wave accelerates conductive vessel to orbital velocity. Twenty years to build. Gravity gentler than 21st-century predictions (Electric Universe framework). Light-to-force conversion consistent with Vesh energy paradigm.

Heart Chamber
3×3×3 m cube. Absolute darkness. Walls/ceiling/floor covered in photosensitive phosphorescent pigments. References Tar Dust's 2018 light-painting practice at Tovarna Rog, Ljubljana. Pigments retain charge for geological timescales in darkness, reactivating upon photon exposure. Creates palimpsest of light-drawings across millions of years.

Electric Universe Framework
Referenced through Velikovsky, Thornhill, Talbott, Juergens, Scott. Key tenets: gravity as secondary electromagnetic effect; planetary surfaces machined by electrical discharge; planets born from/wandering via plasma interactions; Alps and lunar maria as Lichtenberg discharge patterns; atmospheric evolution from plasma to neutral gas.
