STOY KE TRINO

It was 2001, and the first rock ‘n roll sounds were being heard in the outskirts of Barcelona where a small venue located in the neighborhood of Trinitat Nova was witnessing the birth of STOY KE TRINO!!! (I’m fuming!!!).
The first punk notes also brought with them the first inroads into hybrid music, it was a time of change, and new bands were taking over where Mano Negra, Negu Gorriak, Todos Tus Muertos, etc. once had been. Stoy Ke Trino started to mix their own roots: rumba-flamenco with ska, and reggae into punk and rock ‘n roll chords that had always been the band’s trademark. This resulted develop in their live concerts been more powerful. The group started to take their music on the road through Catalonia, Galicia and France, getting to play with groups as important as Sagarroi, Muchachito Bombo Infierno, Lendakaris Muertos, Costo Rico, Jolly and the Flytrap, os Festicultores, Zulú 9:30, Jaleo Real, Daniel Higiénico, O Jarbanzo Negro, and even Barón Rojo.

In 2006 the group reached its current line up; the machine is now tuned up and the band starts to play at small festivals, alternative festivities, and social centers. It wins the musical contest “El Arbusto 2006” and closes its tour at CSO Can Masdeu with an amazing show.
Before the end of that year the band release his first cd: “EL SOÑADOR”, a blend of different rythmns but never forgetting were the band came from: the streets of Barcelona.

Stoy Ke Trino plays as support band for the Swiss group Jolly and the Flytrap in 2007. This new step awakens the band’s interest in starting to tour abroad.

The first European tour of Stoy Ke Trino kicks off in May, 2008, with concerts in Germany and Switzerland. The band makes a very powerful impression on both the audience and the promoters, and this triggers booking activities for a 3-day festival in Switzerland (August 2008).

2009 started with the release of their second album: “Sr. Guindilla”. produced by their long-time friends of ‘O jarbanzo negro’ and also with them as guests and several other friends-musicians.
The band decided to test the new show and cd on a long tour, so at the end of February they started the second European tour, longer days and more countries. In one month they played 25 concerts in 8 different countries, performing at small and larger venues, doing benefit concerts and establishing themselves as a truly and hard working independent band.
The tour was full of exciting shows and stories.

At the end of the tournee they officially presented the record in Barcelona, but instead of going to famous venues they ran the risk of doing it in their own neighborhood and supporting the Cultural Centre Ateneu de Nou barris.
The big venue was at full capacity and sold out. All guests from the record came for the event from different cities, and the band decided to pay only for the sound system, not making any money from the concert. With a very low entrance fee they helped the Centre and the fans.
The party went way late at night and was an unforgettable show.

In the meantime, the third European tour has been planned for March 2010.

Currently, the band is recording the new record-dvd and playing wherever there is a forum, bringing enjoyment to everybody who is attracted to their energy filled live performances. Stoy Ke Trino’s hybrid rock is just something that leaves no one indifferent – do you dare to enter their world?
