A meeting of all Rog's temporary users and supporters, to go over accusations against ULTIMA.

So everyone is on the same page, here's ULTIMA's response and clarifications to things we're accused of.

1) WHAT IS OUR VALUE FOR ROG.
we are not a club but 100% multi-kultural artistic project, a true outlet for creative people of Ljubljana and the world.
we host band's shows, we have guest djs/music producers's events, soon

2) ABOUT SECURITY AND FRIENDLINESS
our place is known worldwide for most positive vibes and very
friendly, happy and non-violent crowd. many international students consider Ultima their second home, for really good vibes,safety and security.

however, for extra security measures we've got volunteer security guard, Gasper, during all events. Because of our positive vibes, he's really never busy there ;)
we've seen some nationalistic anti-foreigner behavior from some local squatters and local visitors, but never ever heard of erasmus exchange students stirring up any kind of trouble outside after events, and they say that is a completely ridiculous and wrongful nationalistic accusation

3) THEFT DURING OUR EVENTS
for the random theft prevention , we have a big free coat check room,with numbers and such, plus a few signs around the place telling people to watch their belongings and use our free coat/bag check service. from what we have heard from people, the level of theft in
ultima doesn't exceed the level of theft at other places (Metelkova,Companieros, Parlament, K4, etc)

4) NOISE ISSUE
: we constantly work adding additional layers of wood/carpeting for
soundproofing, improving it weekly
it seems rather strange for us , though, that Social Center does not seem to care about the noise issue at their place, during their events, neglecting soundproofing whatsoever and being extremely loud for neighbours. Also i'd like to draw your attention to Galleria's aggregate put right outside, in the middle of the garden, with no
soundproofing, sounding extremely loud, like machine gun in the middle of the night. perhaps the recent police visits for noise complaints were caused by these 2 issues, not ours? an we just got our fine on top of everyone else's? Although, as a gesture of neighborhood friendship, i myself paid latest Galleria fine of 40EUR -the gesture i think they did not truly appreciate.
Plus, to be completely safe, we have recently decided to lower ourgeneral volume during events by 30%

5) CANALIZATION ISSUE
. According to the expert toilet cleaning companie's opinion, our recent toilet problem is related to Rog's general canalization failure which is represented by stinky puddle outside of concert hall The
recent cleaning of that puddle, to which we contributed 20EUR, did not fix the problem, apparently. Since it's a global Rog's issue we must combine efforts on getting it fix. To close us because of that would mean that ALL places in Rog need to be closed, cause it's a junction of main canalization system that needs to be fixed.

6) SANITARY
As a part of recent global Ultima cleaning , we have completely
cleaned up the trash against the bike shop room next to Ultima, and cleaned up the large area outside of Ultima.
Our toilets and Ultima's space are constantly sprayed/cleaned with strong anti-bacterial detergents.

7)SAFETY OF THE BULDING
To answer rather paranoid concerns about "Grand Collapse" of Ultima because of people dancing, we have built 2 supporting columns downstairs underneath our dancefloor, so now we can probably have elephants party at our events without any risk. We had a professional architect inspect the safety of the building a year back, and he assured us that Ultima's building is in great shape for at least next 25 years, and that bike repair shop building next to us is in not in such a good shape but IT IS COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM OUR BUILDING.

OTHER ACCUSATIONS of us having "bad violent vibes" and "bad & agressive foreign crowd" simply seem blind and nationalistic and therefore have no comment.
METHODS USED BY Social Center/Concert Hall/Galleria coalition, such having a secret meeting without inviting as or any other Rog users (Blue corner, Jazz club, etc), and nailing our door 1 hour before our scheduled event (upsetting dozens of people that came that night) - all seem highly UN-DEMOCRATIC and VIOLENT. Personal nationalistic threats towards Ultima project's participant Dimon (american citizen with russian roots) that come from some of local Rog users are outrageous.

ON RECENT INCIDENT WITH POLICE COMING - CLARIFICATION.
Police came on Wed 27.04 for the noise complaint ABOUT ROG from
neighbours - ABOUT ROG, NOT ULTIMA - it could be because of that noise from Galleria's aggregate ouside (they got their fine for the noise, which i kindly paid for them later).
We received a fine for the noise, and were told that we can continue but lower the volume. Incidentally, by unknown to us reason, one of the local temporary Rog's users/visitors , Marko, confronted the police officer and eventually got in the fight with him inside og Ultima , for which was stopped by other officers and taken outside,which created certain noise outside of Ultima. After which we decided to close the place for that night, as it was spoiled.
